What Does Email Marketing Have To Do With Your Business?

If you run a business and I don't care what your business is, my answer to that question would be EVERYTHING! Email marketing can be the life blood of your business.

It doesn't matter whether you have a physical business, an internet business, or whether you act as an affiliate marketer selling other people's products on the internet - all business large and small should all be taking advantage of email marketing.

How many times have you gone into a store and they asked for your name, address and email address and you never heard from them again? How many times have you bought something online or put your name and email address into a form to get some type of information product, never to hear from them again?

Those people are leaving hundreds of dollars on the table!

What good does it do, to have a list of customer names and emails or even a list of potential customers, who may not have bought from you when they first visited your store or your website, if they never hear from you again.

They must of had some interest in what you were selling or they wouldn't have visited you in the first place, but maybe they just were not ready to buy from you at that time.

So now you have a list of potential customers, how do you use those names and email addresses to turn those people into new buyers and repeat customers?

By using email marketing the RIGHT WAY!

Email marketing can save you thousands of dollars in advertising and physical promotions. It's free! You've got their name and email address, why not put it to good use?

First and foremost, no matter what type of business you have... you first have to... gain their trust and confidence before you can expect anyone to buy from your - expecially on the internet. Since they know nothing about you, they can't physically come into your store to see you and they can't talk to you one-on-one unless they have your phone number. Then how do they know that you are not some scam artist just trying to take their money and run!

How do you build that trust and confidence?

Show your clients that you know what you are talking about. Provide them with helpful hints and guidelines that pertain to what you are selling. Talk about how to install a roof if you're in the hardware business or provide good "how to" articles. If you're a settlement lawyer provide information on insurance settlements.

You don't have to be a big corporation to make use of your list names and email addresses. If your potential customers see you as someone who knows what they're doing and saying, they will trust you quickly and see you as an expert in that market.

That's where the proper use of email marketing can work for you... to help you make a lot more money in your business, whether you have a physical business located in your hometown or your business is strickly an internet based business. Either one, if used the RIGHT WAY email marketing can turn lookers into buyers!
